IMS/Functional Dry Needling

Dry needling is a great adjunct to physiotherapy treatments.

Intramuscular stimulation (IMS) or functional dry needling (FDN) uses a fine and flexible stainless-steel needle [think: acupuncture needle] to release tight painful bands of muscle and restore normal tone caused by abnormal functioning of the nervous system. This is not a magic wand —nothing is. But it can help reduce pain, and improve function and range of motion, particularly when combined with corrective exercise and manual therapy. There is no extra charge for dry needling. If you're interested in dry needling, you can let me know in your session. I do not perform dry needling on pregnant patients.
